Angela Palmer is a professional sculptor and Life Drawing tutor who has lived in the Forest of Dean & Wye Valley for 25 years. All her stone and bronze cast pieces are made in the Forest of Dean. Angela has run sculpture classes and workshops for many years, specialising in Life modeling. Her friendly Sculpture Life Classes & workshops include clay modeling and Life Drawing and are held in the beautiful riverside village of Brockweir in the Wye Valley, near Chepstow. This much exhibited sculptor brings the nuances of human character to life. Angela loves making sculptures of people, mainly female nudes. She works in ceramic, bronze resin and bronze. The female form is especially well understood and knowingly fashioned. Originally a Biologist her anatomical knowledge blended with her passion for powerful insightful sculpture makes her work highly desirable.

Angela is interested in the way that the body can convey mood, feelings and character simply by the turn of the head or the set of the shoulders. Most of her pieces are modeled in clay directly from life . Angela tries to preserve the essential qualities of the clay in the finished work, keeping the surface lively and the lines fluid. Her sculptural figures may be sited indoors or out and is a most pleasant focal point. Angela is also an administrator for the West Gloucestershire Arts Society. Materials/Medium

Some sculptures are produced in fired clay with a bronze finish, some are cast in bronze resin in small editions. Commissions may be cast in bronze.

Price range

£160 to £3,500 for ceramic and bronze resin work. £1,500 - £15,000 for bronze e.g one third life size figure in bronze resin apx . £600.
