Christine Waygood an experienced Feltmaker, has a vibrant and busy studio workshop at Taurus Crafts Centre Lydney in Gloucestershire. She runs excellent Felt and Jewellery Making workshops. Her background is in woven textiles, knitwear design, feltmaking and constructed textiles lecturing. Chris has many years of teaching and lecturing experience and also as a self employed designer Maker.
Her intrinsic love of colour and structure developed over the years through her weaving and knitting. She has now shifted towards felt making a technique that offers her a freer use of both colour intensity combinations and structural possibilities. Her studio is packed with beautiful garments and accessories and you can watch her preparing and making the felt . Chris often runs Felting workshops please call for details. She makes an incredible variety of felt from dense strong fabrics to the most delicate filigree. Chris is experimenting with Nuno felts and layering using an embellishing machine.
