David Broadbent is an established professional photographer of birds, wildlife, landscapes and the natural environment living and working in the Forest of Dean Gloucestershire. David uses both digital and film using Cannon EOS & Hasselblad cameras. He works with colour and mono and is a member of the Cannon Professional Network.
An enthusiastic hill walker and bird watcher, David began photographing the wild and open landscapes of the North Norfolk Coast, the Lake District, Morecombe Bay, Northumberland Coast and Islay. The natural landscape, craggy and austere with dramatic and stark uplands inspired him. Of the landscape he says " it gave me fantastic opportunities to record nature at its most bare". He has a large and varied photographic library of landscapes that are well observed and beautifully composed. Since moving south to the Forest of Dean Gloucestershire he has covered many miles of the Severn & Wye, and the Glucestershire countryside including the Cotswolds taking photographs of its scenic landscapes.
As his portfolio developed David focused on his Bird photography and worked with the RSPB enjoying photographing & recording common and rare species all over Britain. David is always looking for a different take on bird and wildlife photography. His particular pictorial style shows wildlife in its' natural environment.
His small studio offers all the facilities for business portraits and press work. He also gives one to one training in photography please contact him for details. David enjoys giving talks on photographing birds, wildlife and landscapes with a good selection of images according to your selected topic. He's happy to tailor his presentation to your brief.
