Fred is an accomplished and dynamic Artist and Illustrator, also specialising in airbrush photo realistic styles and techniques. His work encompasses fine art, portraits, landscapes and corporate branding. Vehicles,Motorbikes, large scale murals, fairground rides, film. Fred has recently completed painting/airbrushing amazing images onto the spooky GHOST TRAIN and some other rides at Weston-Super-Mare's restored Pier. He is known for paintings on fairground rides & customising vehicles. He is a qualified teacher and runs airbrush Painting and Drawing courses. See our WORKSHOPS page for all his classes. His Workshops in painting & drawing, encompass colour theory, commercial tips, portrait basics and figurative drawing. Fred is the only qualified practitioner that offers this opportunity for miles around.
Fred trained in the U.K. and USA and has 20 years experience as an artist and qualified teacher. In England he studied for his degree in Industrial Design and then in Art and Design. An award winning illustrator and an airbrush artist, Fred has worked for some of the biggest names in advertising. From promotional large scale murals for Kellogs to customised vehicle painting for one of the world's fastest cars - FIREFORCE 1, a jet powered drag strip car. Currently his brilliant painting of "The Italian Job" on a vehicle is attracting attention because of the 40th Anniverary of this iconic film! His style for advertising and more commercial work can be both exciting and vibrant but is very exact in the detail. His newer work in portraiture constantly begs the question - "It's fantastic is it a photograph"? Fred has always painted landscapes, especially the ocean and is also keen on the surfer genre.
