A passionate member of The Wildlife Art Society, Linda's paintings are informal studies of wildlife and plants. Her work emphasises detail and texture, using the vibrant effects of watercolour plus the dramatic contrast of graphite pencil. Linda draws inspiration for her paintings from the natural landscape and seasonal variations of the Forest.
A qualified tutor, Linda demonstrates and teaches groups for Junior Schools and for adults. Topics include: "Still Life", Figures in Motion", Perspective Drawings" plus artists such as - Monet, Picasso, Van Gogh.
Her fascination with the organic shapes and symmetrical patterns found in nature started at school where she was known for her graphic and often surreal pictures. Later she followed a career as a Mechanical Design Engineer. Alongside her work with cryogenic pipework and concrete presses, Linda still pursued her artistic interests. She accepted many commissions for paintings of woodland scenes, botanical illustrations and company logos. Linda produces limited editions of some of her paintings and is working hard towards a national exhibition with The Wildlife Art Society. Please 'phone for visit, always happy to show more work.
