Matthew's "Jonquil Jewellery" can be seen and purchased in The Post Office Shop in the charming riverside town of Newnham on Severn Forest of Dean He works in a range of mediums, including silver, gemstones, shells, feathers and beads. Matthew studied with a local silversmith over 5 years whilst persuing his degree in Geography. His passion for geology and the natural landscape was a definite spur to creating his delicate and precise pieces. Often beginning with a focus on a central gem or combination of colours, Matthew gradually builds his silver creations that range from hatpins, earrings, necklaces, pendants and other decorative pieces. The finished works often contain a fleeting glimpse of colour combinations from flowers in his garden to the shimmer and waves of the River Severn. Very elegant, very special, Matthews' work is reasonably priced and very individual.
