Peter Walwin is a much sought after wood sculptor, wood carver and restorer. His first love is wildlife sculpture, especially birds. Peter says he is addicted to the shapes of wings. He has many pieces on display at Slimbridge and Nature in Art Museum Gloucestershire.
Peter Walwin is a qualified chainsaw carver and a member of the British Woodcarvers Association, the Gloucestershire Society of Artists, the British Wildfowl Decoy Carvers and is a member of the Sculptree team at Westonbirt Aboretum in Gloucestershire every year. (Big Tree carving). Frequently working on various prestigious projects he was commissioned recently by the Slimbridge Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust, Gloucestershire to make a piece depicting otters and flamingos supported by a large hand, carved in oak. Other commissions include a 9 foot high Barn Owl for Centre Parks at Longleat.also likes to make items that are useful as well as being decorative. Peter Walwin makes fine furniture, traditional or modern and is a highly respected restorer.

Regular artist in residence at Nature in Art Gloucester. Exhibited with SWLA at the Mall Gallery in London.
