Now living in Chepstow by the River Wye, having lived in South Africa, her passion for watercolour painting and reflecting Nature is growing every day. Although also using pastels and acrylic, Roxanne loves the challenge of watercolour. She says she "became intrigued with sunlight and the way it cast shadows, creating wonderful patterns in nature". She finds watercolour painting diverse and "full of delightful surprises, helping to get into the heart of the subject". The gentle soft greens and lavender hues found in the Wye Valley contrast with the hot harsh sunlight of the acres of fields around her farm in South Africa. The linking factor is the deep shadow found in hidden pockets -in the heart.
Roxanne was an Associate of the Watercolour Society in South Africa. She served as Chairman, organising lectures and workshop as well as administrating membership. Her work "Green Piece" was judged as being a winner at the Elizabeth Gordon Gallery in Durban. Her work was featured on S.A T.V.
